Hi, I just wanted to thank you for posting this story.
I worked for one of the organizations, the Area Agency in Region III, Lakes Region Community Services Council Laconia, NH, that was formed to support people after the State School was closed. I worked to provide support to many of the individuals who lived there; sadly, Bob’s story is very familiar to me. This is a story that can not be told enough.

MY NAME IS EBONIE AND I WORK AT THE JASON DELI OFF OF MOCKINGBIRD AND 75 THAT BOB CONSISTLY COME TO..” I LOVE THAT MAN” I CALL HIM MY BIG TEDDY BEAR..EVERYDAY HE WOULD COME IN AND EITHER GET 2 MAC AND CHEESE BOWELS SEVERAL CHOCOLATE MILK OR HE WOULD EAT HIS MEATBALLS AND SPAGEHTTI..HE WOULD COME IN THERE AND PLAY HIS LITTLE PIANO OR HE WOULD DANCE TO THE MUSIC THAT WE PLAY..HE WOULD EVEN SING WITH ME..HE HAS A JOYFUL SPIRT ABOUT HISELF..MY CUSTOMERS WOULD ASK ME WHAT BOB DO BEACAUSE THEY SEE HIM EVERY TIME..I WOULD REPLY BACK BY SAYING “O THATS BOB HE’S FAMLIY AND HE PLAYS HIS PIANO NEXT DOOR”…IF THAT MAN LEAVES THIS EARTH HE WILL LEAVE A MARK UPON US..
