Name is Sandy. Older, blonde lady. Used to work at Whole Earth, give you rides to your meetings and listen to you play. Was astonished when one day on our way to your meeting, you recited all the traditions, steps, etc. of the AA creed. It made me realize how hard you had to work, more than most people, to have regain your sobriety. I was very impressed.

I sent out an email about the story and this is a response I got from a woman I work with:

“how funny! my sister and i met bob a couple months ago at the whole earth provision company. he guessed our astrological signs just by looking at us. it was wild.”

Hi everyone, we are working toward a picture lock.  Weee!  Looks great so far.

Hi EveryoneWe are now on Chapter 5, which is half way.  Weee!  We have a sound engineer onboard and are looking a special FX person for Titles and Subtitles.  Our Goal is to have the film ready for AFI submission in Sept of 2010. 

Hi Everyone, we are back in the editing room, cutting and slicing.  The 1st Chapter is almost ready to export and hand over to the sound engineer.  Very exciting!

The new system is up and running.  We did end up loosing some audio files, shame they where very good and part of the final edit.  We are starting to edit again this Sunday.  Weeee are back!

Hi everyone.  After two months of IT issues and programming errors and data recovery, totaling about 30 recovery attempts and 100 hrs of work.  We finally were able to recover a good copy of the film edit.  We only ended up loosing about 1 week of work.  It has been hard to believe but we just wouldn’t let anyone tell us that it was lost for good.  So we just kept working with different IT people and ideas until we found one that worked.  This has been a Hugh relief for everyone involved. 

Hi everyone, we have had a catastrophic data loss on the editing system.  Complete hard drive failure!  This is a gigantic set back for us and very upsetting.  We had the rough cut down to 2:53 and were very excited about getting it down to about 2:15.  If this data can be recovered aka the Backup files it is a three to four month delay.  If they can’t recover the data it could take up to 6 months to re-do the work and many files would be completely lost.  The data recovery will cost $1700, Ouch!!

Hi Everyone!  We have been working hard in our spare time which isn’t as much as we would like but progress is happening.  He had the rough cut finished at 3:25 and have cut it down to 2:53.  Our plan is to get it down, as close to 2hrs as we can.  As you can see Bob’s story is very complicated and vastly interesting.  It has been difficult make it shorter.

We have been working hard to get the rough cut for this film finished.  We are presently on the 9th Chapter, so we have 1.5 Chapters to finish the rough cut.
